Beckley, WV –For the first night of Saturday night racing, Beckley Motorsports Park provided an excellent racing surface for victory lane, where driver Steve Wilmoth drove his way from the 4th starting position to first in an exciting AMRA Late Model race Steve Adkins, outlasted the # 25 Chad Justice for his third win in the Fastrak Crate Late Models, Sammy Duncan #15, claimed his forth win in the AMAR Modifieds, Bill Prichard Jr claimed his fifth win in the Pure Stocks, Tiffany Richardson wins her forth win in the four cylinders, and the dominator Cameron Maxwell claimed his seventh win in the Mini-Wedge main.
In the AMRA Late Model main, Ricky Williams and Brad Jarrell paced the field to the green flag. Brad got the jump on Ricky and the rest of the field filed in behind.
On the second lap, Steve Wilmoth was able to get back the fastest qualifier Ricky Williams with Rod Evens following close behind Ricky Williams. After several caution free laps on the 16th circuit Ricky Williams tries to get past Brad Jarrell when the two of them get side ways and Steve Wilmoth dashes to first place. Going into the next turn Ricky Williams and Brad Jarrell get tangled up causing a caution. The caution puts Brad Jarrell to the tail of the field and Ricky Williams back into second. On lap 18 Rod Evans and the #64 of Marshall Wiblin get tangled up but both keep their positions and no caution comes out. By lap 20 the # 10 of Brad Jarrell makes his way up to the 4th position after coming from the tail. Ten more laps about the 3/8th mile track and Steve Wilmoth finds himself in victory lane for the first time @ Beckley Motorsports Park. Behind Steve Wilmoth was Ricky Williams, Rod Evans, brad Jarrell and Eslie bills.
In the FASTRAK Late Models Steve “Scooby” Adkins the nights fastest qualifier and the new track record holder in the FASTRAK Crate Late Models drove his way to his 3rd victory @ Beckley Motorsports Park. Two number 18’s lead the field of thirteen cars to the drop of the green flag and after the first circuit around the track Steve Adkins had the lead with the other #18 driven by TJ Salango in hot pursuit behind him. On lap # 2 the first caution comes out with the 2nd place driver Tj Salango looping in the turn leaving the second spot open to the 4th starter Chad Justice. On the next circuit around the track TJ Salango loops it again causing his second caution on the night and ending his evening. Shortly after on lap 6 the # 20 of Andrew Smith finds himself bring out the red flag after rolling two times on the back stretch. 3 more cautions will come out before 20 laps were made but after the dust settled the new track record setter in the FASTRAK Crate Late Models finds himself in victory lane for the 3rd time. Following Steve Adkins where Chad Justice, David Grime, Eric Bennett and Jeff Lilly.
In the AMRA Modified main event, Joe Hamon and Sammy Duncan lead the field of AMRA Modifieds to the drop of the green flag and on lap one Sammy Duncan jumps to the lead and stays there to bring home his forth win on the season @ Beckley Motorsports Park. On lap two Brent Hamilton fires his way to the second spot and by lap 3 Mike Duncan has made his way to 3rd place. On lap 9 Mike Duncan and Joe Cox find themselves tangled up with Mike Duncan starting on the tail. The remaining 11 laps were caution free where Sammy Duncun finds himself again in victory lane. Rounding out the top 5 behind Duncan were #44 Joe Hamon, Brett Hamilton, Joe Cox and Tony Garber.
The Pure Stock, Hornets and Mini Wedges all seemed to be dominated by past winners with Bill Prichard Jr winning his fifth win of the season leading all 15 laps. Also Tiffany Richardson win her 4th win of the season and leading all 15 laps and Cameron Maxwell has dominated the Mini Wedge division by winning all seven events.
